Meet the Committee

Murray is married to Yvonne and lives in Nelson. Nelson is situated near the top of the 9970 district in arguably the best part of New Zealand for it climate, arts & crafts.

Murray & Yvonne have five children, Kylie (a Veterinary surgeon) is married and lives in the USA, Melinda is an early childhood teacher living in Christchurch, Scott is a an Electrician and lives in Nelson. Kirsty is at finished University in Dunedin & Alison (Ally) is at Uni in Wellington. (Picture shows Ally, Murray & Yvonne with Kirsty in front).
Murray's day time job is as owner of Mandy Computing Ltd, a computer sales and service business, and Yvonne is a full time Mum and a part time shop assistant with Simply New Zealand.
Murray has been in Rotary (Nelson West) since 1990, is a Past President of Nelson West, and a Paul Harris fellow.

Roger Chapman - - Rotary Club of Ferrymead Christchurch. Rotarian 13 years – past president Ferrymead.
RYE committee – now 9th year, Treasurer – last 8 years.
I am the IT manager at Medlab South and have been involved in the health field all my working life. I trained as a Medical Scientist at Christchurch Hospital and for many years worked in Pathology labs both in NZ and Australia. In 1994 I switched to Laboratory IT and in 1999 assumed the role of IT Manager.
I am married to Sue, who also works in Health and we have 2 adult sons. One works as a hospitality manager in Christchurch and the other currently resides in Hong Kong where he is the national Hockey Coach.
I believe the RYE program is one of the best student exchanges available to NZ students and look forward to continuing my involvement for District 9970.

Shona is one of the newest members of the committee join in October 2008. Shona is inbound Co-ordinator for Nelson / Marlborough.

Tania is new to the Committee and a previous RYE student in 1996. Tania is going to mentor the 2010 outbound applicant Harriett.

Gavin is also with Nelson West Rotary and will be part of the Club communication role.
