Youth Exchange Events

There are DISTRICT and non-district events that the students are involved with.

The following is the list of MANDATORY District events:

  • Attendance at District Conference
    This is normally held March to May.  Take a look at the Calendar page for the actual date.
     
  • North Island Trip (April)
    A trip with 9980 held during the April School holidays for approximately 10-12 days taking in the North Island:  Wellington, and Rotorua north to Cape Reinga.
     
  • Orientation #1 held in Hanmer Springs or Lake Rotoiti/St Arnaud (August)
    This is Friday evening to after lunch Sunday and involves all students and hopefully Clubs and Host Families
     
  • Milford Pre-Tramp - Nelson (October)
    Held on the last weekend of the October school holidays is a 'must succeed' shakedown for all trampers, their gear and readiness.
     
  • West Coast / Queenstown / Milford Trip (November)
    The new improved 2011 West Coast, Queenstown and Milford Track walk - a trip that is full of extremes (optional bungy, cave, hot pools and the top of the McKinnon Pass having a cup of soup).
     

All Event participants need to complete the Medical Conditions & Allergies Form, so please download it and send it in as directed.
